Your Role

As Foxtrot’s Accounting Lead / Manager you’ll manage the accounting responsibilities including   maintaining accurate financial records, managing month-end close, and ensuring compliance across our global footprint. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment, operating effectively in a lean, two-person finance team, balancing detailed transactional work with higher-level analysis and process ownership.

Responsibilities

The role is dynamic, requiring a candidate who is adaptable, thrives in a team environment, and can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities will vary based on placement with the customer, but will include some or all of the following:


  • Own the monthly close process end-to-end - prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis with precision and timeliness.

  • Prepare and review consolidated international financial statements, supporting schedules and management/KPI reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, HR, operations) to ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including updating financial models .

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and tax regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Administer payroll and benefits reporting, coordinating with HR and external providers.

  • Review and possibly prepare customer invoices, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and client documentation.

  • Manage vendor payments and oversee the full AP cycle, maintaining control and visibility over cash flow.

  • Assist with contract reviews and compliance checks, identifying areas of risk and comply with standard T&Cs of the company.

  • Partner directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements - helping shape scalable systems and reporting infrastructure.Provide ad-hoc analysis and improve accounting processes, documentation, and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience).

  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, professional services environment a plus

  • Strong systems aptitude (QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets.

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with multi-jurisdictional accounting (Canada/EU) a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

  • Effective communicator with ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work autonomously.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with remote/distributed teams across time zones.

  • Experience with audit preparation, tax filings, or international accounting frameworks.

  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or coursework underway.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems and automation tools.
